Applications for annual PraeSeed cohort investment programme are now OPEN

Now in its third year, the region’s first cohort-based investment programme is here to find and fund the best pre-seed businesses in the North.

The PXN Ventures North of England programme includes six weeks of VC-led investor-readiness support and a £200k equity investment from NPIF II at the end. Up to 12 companies will join the programme, with up to eight receiving investment.

All PraeSeeders will also get the chance to pitch to the PXN co-investor network in September.

Since launch, PraeSeed has invested £3m into more than 15 Northern companies and 85% of the first cohort have since secured additional funding.

PraeSeed is supported by the British Business Bank’s NPIF II, which can also support succesful PraeSeed companies with future follow-on funding of up to £5m.
